Stew-Stras Picks Up Own Title

Stewardson-Strasburg held a junior high boys baseball tournament and came away with the title.
Stew-Stras blasted Windsor 16-1. Stew-Stras stepped out to a 6-0 first inning lead then tallied three in the third and seven in the fourth.
Stew-Stras had 17 hits in the game led by Quast and Kessler with three each. Quast had three RBI and Kessler two. Derrick Moschenrose picked up the pitching one on a one-hitter with three walks and nine strikeouts.
Windsor then downed Altamont Lutheran 8-5. Altamont Lutheran held a 2-1 lead until the fourth when Windsor tallied seven runs.
In the championship game, Stew-Stras blanked Altamont Lutheran 16-0 in three innings. Stew-Stras held a 4-0 first inning lead then had seven runs in the second and five in the third.
Overbeck had three hits and drove in two runs while Kramer had one hit and five RBI. Josh Overbeck was the winning pitcher on a one-hitter with no walks and six strikeouts.
