St. Anthony Blanks Webber Township

Effingham St. Anthony High School handed Webber Township (Bluford) a 5-0 loss Saturday.

The Bulldogs had nine hits in the contest. Scott Rentfrow picked up the pitching win on a three-hitter. St. Anthony edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then added on two runs in the third and fifth innings.

This was the third straight shutout pitched by three different Bulldog hurlers.

St. Anthony is back in action Tuesday hosting St. Elmo in a 4:30 p.m. contest at Hendelmeyer Park.
