Mustangs Win; Other Junior High Scores

Effingham Junior High improved to 6-1 on the fall baseball season with a 6-0 win over Homer Glen Friday.  Koenig got the win with a one-hit shutout, walking two and striking out seven. 

Osborn tripled and doubled for Effingham, Beals singled, Koenig singled and drove in a run, Bateman singled and drove in a run, Morrissey singled, and Koester drove in a run.

Stewardson-Strasburg defeated Beecher City Friday, 15-2.  Stew-Stras scored four runs in the first, six in the third and five in the fifth to win by the 10-run rule.

Trevor Quast got the win; Cody Grove took the loss.
