St. Elmo Outscores BCCH Friday

St. Elmo scored four runs in the fifth and four runs in the sixth to come from behind and post a 9-7 win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick Friday.
BCCH led 5-0 before St. Elmo scored in the fourth and then posted the two big innings. BCCH added two in the fourth but couldn't shut down St. Elmo down.
Connor Beasley got the win for St. Elmo with three innings of relief, allowing just one hit while striking out six. Donovan Riley took the loss in relief for BCCH, allowing four runs in two innings.
For St. Elmo, Levi Maxey singled, Malachi Maxey doubled and drove in a run, Connor Beasley singled, Garrett Bartels had two hits, Ben Davis doubled and drove in two runs, Nick Bauer singled in the two go-ahead runs in the sixth, and Noah Flowers drove in a run.
For BCCH, Tyler McKay doubled twice and singled and scored twice while driving in a run, Joel Wheeler singled and scored, Donovan Riley singled twice and doubled and drove in two runs, A.J. Miller doubled and drove in a run, Austin Rexroad doubled and drove in a run, Wyatt Giles homered with none on in the third and singled, and Colten Burrus and Brady Randall each singled.
St. Elmo is now 2-1 on the fall, 2-0 in the National Trail Conference and 1-0 in the Egyptian-Illini Conference, while BCCH fell to 0-3. St. Elmo takes on Sandoval on Monday.
