A seven-run second inning propelled the South Central Cougars to a 13-6 win Friday over the Cisne Lions.
South Central added a run in the third and then tacked on two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh.
Noah Powless posted the win, allowing six runs on 10 hits in five innings of work, walking two and fanning three. Shawn Meyer threw two innings of quality relief, allowing just one hit and one walk and striking out four.
At the plate, Powless had three hits including a double and drove in a run, Kyle Bray doubled and singled and drove in four runs, Shawn Meyer doubled and singled and drove in a run, Fischer Tharp had two hits, and Dylan Smith singled twice and drove in a run.
The Cougars are back in action Monday at Webber Township at 4pm.
