(San Diego, CA) -- The Cardinals may be laying the groundwork for a multi-year contract with pitcher Lance Lynn. GM John Mozeliak met with his agent at this week's Winter Meetings. Lynn earned just over $500,000 last season, but is due a significant raise through arbitration.


Cubs World Series Odds Shrink After Lester Signing

(Las Vegas, NV) -- The Cubs are getting some love in Las Vegas after signing top free-agent pitcher Jon Lester. The Westgate SuperBook lists the Cubs' odds of winning the World Series in 2015 at 12-1. The "lovable losers" started the offseason at 40-1, but saw those odds shrink to 18-1 after hiring new manager Joe Maddon. The Dodgers and Nationals have the best odds at 7-1. The Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908.


Sox Sign Robertson

(San Diego, CA) -- The White Sox have finalized a deal to bring in closer David Robertson. MLB.com reports it's a four-year deal worth $46-million.  Robertson was 4-5 with a 3.08 ERA and 39 saves in his first full season as a closer last year for the Yankees.
