KINMUNDY -- South Central High School handed Patoka a 5-1 loss in baseball action Wednesday.
The score was tied at 1-1 after the first inning. South Central then pushed ahead with four runs in the third inning and that's where the scoring ended. The Cougars had nine hits in the game led by Shawn Meyer with two singles and an RBI, Drake Ritter with a single and a double and Heath Hoffmann with two singles.
Kyle Bray picked up the pitching win going six innings, allowing four hits, four walks and striking out 11. South Central is now 2-0 on the season and is back in action today at Stewardson-Strasburg.
