St. Elmo Wins, Tuesday Baseball Roundup

DIETERICH -- St. Elmo High School took a quick 3-0 lead in the opening inning and went on to tally a 6-2 victory over Dieterich in baseball action Tuesday evening.

Dieterich pulled within 3-2 after four innings but the Eagles tallied another run in the fifth and tacked on two in the sixth. St. Elmo had five hits in the contest led by Levi Maxey with a single and a double. Dalton Parks had a single and drove in a run.

Conner Beasley picked up the pitching win going five innings, allowing three hits, issuing five walks and striking out four.

Dieterich was led by Chris Lidy with two singles and an RBI. The Maroons drop to 0-1 in the National Trail Conference, 1-1 overall.
