(St. Louis, MO) -- The Cardinals are still basking in the glow of their four-game win over the Dodgers in the National League Division Series. They have two more days to prepare for the San Francisco Giants and the League Championship Series. Game One of that best-of-seven matchup is Saturday in St. Louis.
The Cardinals will be out for revenge when they face the Giants in the NLCS. The Redbirds blew a three-games-to-one lead against San Francisco in the NLCS two years ago, with the Giants winning three straight to beat St. Louis and eventually go on to sweep Detroit in the World Series.
Adam Wainwright is slated to be on the mound for the Cardinals in Game One of the NLCS. He had been the projected starter for a Game Five against the Dodgers, if necessary, although manager Mike Matheny said Lance Lynn could get the nod instead with Wainwright battling arm stiffness.
Start times are set for the National League Championship Series. The first two games Saturday and Sunday at Busch Stadium are set for 7:07 p.m. Tuesday's Game Three in San Francisco will have a 3:07 p.m. first pitch., followed by Game Four Wednesday at AT&T Park at 7:07 p.m.
