T-town, Dieterich, Neoga Claim Baseball Wins

ODIN -- Teutopolis High School stepped out to a 5-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Odin 8-2.
The Wooden Shoes had 12 hits and Odin finished with seven errors. L. Niemerg had two singles, a double and an RBI while D. Smith and J. Bloemer had two singles each. Smith chipped in with two RBI.
D. Williamson and R. Hofstetter had a double each for Odin. Williams added an RBI.
K. Smith pitched two innings of no hit ball with five strikeouts. A. Johnson came on to pitch five innings, allowing four hits, two runs, three walks and striking out nine.

Dieterich took a 2-0 first inning lead, tacked on a single run in the sixth and blanked Webber Township (Bluford) 3-0.
The Movin' Maroons had seven hits led by C. Thoele with two singles and an RBI and B. Schmidt with two singles. Thoele picked up the pitching win, going all five innings, allowing one walk and striking out seven.

Neoga stepped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and then had to hold off North Clay (Louisville) for a 7-5 victory.
North Clay outhit Neoga 10-7. Walk picked up the pitching win to move his record to 3-2. Walks also had three singles and an RBI to aid his own cause. The Indians are now 3-8 on the season.
Stinnett hit a solo home run for the Cardinals while Aldrich had a double.

At St. Elmo
Patoka edged Ramsey 9-8 in eight innings in the opening game of the Egyptian-Illini Conference Tournament Monday.
Patoka now advances to face top-seeded Brownstown/St. Elmo at 4:15 p.m. today followed by Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick taking on Mulberry Grove at 7 p.m.
The winners advance to the championship game Thursday at 7 p.m. while the losers square off for third place at 4:15 p.m. at Deken Park.
