SIGEL -- Effingham St. Anthony's Luke Ludwig and Ben Strullmyer combined to pitch a no-hitter as the Bullpups disposed of Dieterich 16-1 in the Class 1A Sigel St. Michael Regional baseball championship game Monday.

St. Anthony stepped out to a 7-0 first inning lead and ended the game in the fourth. Koester led the 14-hit attack with two singles, a double and four RBI. Mendella added a single, double and four RBI, Strullmyer a single and double, Guy three singles and an RBI, Ludwig two singles and Wall a double and two RBI.

St. Anthony is now 13-4 on the season and will face Nokomis at 11 a.m. Saturday at a site to be determined. Nokomis edged Okaw Valley 8-7 in the Nokomis Regional.

At Sigel

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis won it's own Class 2A Regional by blanking Cumberland 10-0 in six innings. T-town has now won seven straight regional titles.

T-town edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had a four-run third. T-town banged out 12 hits in the contest led by Mitch Hardiek with three singles, Mitch Apke with a single, double and three RBI and Mitch Hemmen with two singles and an RBI.

Clint Weber picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts. T-town is now 16-5 and will face Paris Crestwood  Saturday at the T-town Sectional at 11 a.m. Paris Crestwood edged Lawrenceville Parkview 3-2 to win the Casey-Westfield Regional. T-town defeated Crestwood in the championship game of the AA state tournament last year.

At Effingham

Jasper County, seeded fifth, upset third-seeded Mount Zion in the Class 3A Effingham Regional championship game.

Jasper County was a 7-5 winner. Conner Bierman picked up the pitching win.

Jasper County now advances to the Mount Zion Sectional where it will face Rochester, a 3-1 winner over Williamsville at the Williamsville Regional Saturday at 11 a.m.
