LOUISVILLE -- North Clay (Louisville), Teutopolis and Effingham St. Anthony picked up the first three victories in the North Clay Fall Baseball Showcase Saturday.
St. Anthony edged out to a 3-2 lead on Neoga in the first inning and went on for an 8-2 victory. Both teams had seven hits each.
Zach Gardewine had a solo home run for the Bulldogs. Jacob Lorenz had a double and two RBI while Bryar Jansen had a single, double and two RBI.
Neoga was led by Monroe with two singles, a home run and an RBI.
Teutopolis blanked Altamont 10-0 ending the game in the fifth via the 10-run rule. The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and ended the contest with a five-run fourth.
The Wooden Shoes played long ball as L. Niemerg hit two home runs and had three RBI, J. Thoele a home run and an RBI and B. Mette two singles, a home run and four RBI. J. Kreke added two singles.
Altamont was led by Winn with a double.
In the opener, North Clay blanked Dieterich 6-0. The Cardinals held a 1-0 first inning lead then tacked on a single run in the third then had a four-run fourth.
North Clay was led by Stinnett with two singles.

In Friday competition, Altamont came calling at Paul Smith Field and claimed a 6-0 win over St. Anthony.
The Indians took a 2-0 first inning lead then tallied a run in the sixth and three i the seventh. Klaiton Wolff pitched a no-hitter with one walk and 11 strikeouts. Brady Winn had a triple for the winners while Nick Miller added two singles.

At Brownstown
Brownstown/St. Elmo downed Ramsey 11-1 in six innings in Friday play. BSE took a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back. Ramsey aided the cause with 10 errors.
Lewis Brown pitched a five-hitter with one walk and seven strikeouts. Noah Flowers and Drake Hall had two singles and three RBI each for the winners. BSE improves to 4-0 in the Egyptian-Illini Conference and 5-6 overall.

Mulberry Grove captured a 7-4 victory over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick behind 13 hits in extra innings.
The score was tied at 1-1 after three innings. BCCH took a 2-1 lead n the fourth but Mulberry Grove tied in the fifth. BCCH moved ahead again in the bottom of the inning 4-2. Mulberry Grove again fought back and knotted the score at 4-4 in the top of the sixth. The game went nine innings before Mulberry Grove tallied three runs for the win.
Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick had five hits led by Seaton with a single, double and an RBI. BCCH drops to 2-9.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg downed Mulberry Grove 7-4 in action Friday. The score was tied at 3-3 after three innings and Mulberry Grove took a 4-3 lead in the fourth. Windsor/Stew-Stras then tallied three runs in the fifth and pulled away.
Jacob Kramer had a double and an RBI for the winners while Isaac Kramer had a single double and two RBI. Nic Hutchison, Dalton Armes and Derek Moschenrose had two singles each.
In Saturday competition at the Windsor Invitational, Putnam County blanked Windsor/Stew-Stras 9-0. Putnam Co. tallied four in the third, three in the fourth and tacked on a final two in the seventh.
Dan Pavlovich pitched a no-hitter with two walks and seven strikeouts. This was the fifth straight Windsor Invitational championship for Putnam County.
