North Clay (Louisville) Junior High School edged Edwards County (Albion) 4-3 in baseball competition Wednesday.
Edwards County took a 1-0 second inning lead and moved that to 3-2 in the fourth. North Clay tied in the fifth then scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
North Clay had seven hits in the contest led by B. Repking with two singles. Clifton had a single and two RBI. E. Burkett pitched a five-hitter with one walk and five strikeouts.

Edwardsville Lincoln edged Effingham 4-3. The Mustangs held a 3-1 lead after five innings and 3-2 after six. Edwardsville then tallied two in the top of the seventh to pull out the victory.
