CHARLESTON -- Effingham Junior High School edged out to a 1-0 second inning lead over Charleston then had a six-run third and went on for a 15-3 victory.
EJHS had nine hits in the contest and was aided by three Charleston errors. Lee had a single, double and three-run homer for the Mustangs. He finished with four RBI. Hagler had two singles.
The Mustangs are now 10-1 on the season and 3-0 in the South Central Conference.

At St. Anthony
Effingham St. Anthony played host to Neoga and claimed a 17-2 win in four innings Thursday.
The Bullpups held a 7-1 lead after two innings. Neither team scored in the third. St. Anthony then ended the contest with a 10-run fourth.
Mendella had two singles, two doubles and three RBI. Wall added a single, double and two RBI and Hammer two doubles, a triple and four RBI.
St. Anthony is now 8-1 on the season.

Teutopolis stepped out to a 3-0 lead on Salem Franklin Park and went on for a 13-1 win.
T-town not only had 13 runs but had 14 hits in the game. Josh Hardiek had a single, double and two RBI while Tyler Runde had two singles, Mitch Apke three singles and three RBI, Clint Weber three singles and three RBI and Mitch Hemmen two singles.
