Teutopolis blanked Charleston 10-0 in a junior high baseball game Thursday at Charleston.

T-town had four-run innings in the first and second and ended the game in the fifth via the 10-run rule. T-town had 10 hits led by Tyler Runde with three singles and an RBI. The rest of the hits were scattered over seven players.

Mitch Hardiek pitched the first three innings, allowing no runs on no hits with two strikeouts. Trenton Schwerdt pitched the final two innings, allowing no runs on one hit and two strikeouts. T-town is now 5-3 and is at Newton today.

North Clay (Louisville) traveled to Wayne City and fell to the homestanders in a close 5-4 contest.

North Clay had 10 hits in the game led by Briar Repking, Ethan Burkett and Trey Smith with two singles each. Smith added an RBI. North Clay drops to 4-1.

Shelbyville handed Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick a 15-3 loss. Shelbyville had nine hits while Beecher City had two hits.

Pullen was the winning pitcher for Shelbyville.

 

At Altamont

Altamont blanked Ramsey 10-0 in five innings via the 10-run rule. Ramsey held a 2-1 lead in the top of the second but Altamont came back to regain the lead in the bottom of the frame and never looked back.

Jared Kollmann picked up the two-hit pitching win with 11 strikeouts. Kuhlman, Reardon and Fitzjarrald had two hits each for the winners, who improve to 4-4. Reardon had three RBI.
