Shelby Co. Drops Two At 4th Division Senior Tournament

Shelby County Legion Posts 289-611-725 fell twice and was eliminated from the 4th Division Senior Tournament during the weekend at Danville.
Shelby County lost the opener 12-0 to Danville Post 210. Danville took a 1-0 first inning lead and led 4-0 after three. Danville banged out 12 hits in the contest including two singles, a home run and five RBI by Austin West, two singles and a double by Noah Darr, a single, double and two RBI by Jeff Thompson and a double by Mike Vascura.
Tyler Hendryx had two singles for Shelby County while Zach Monroe had a double.
In the second contest, Shelby County fell to Rantoul Legion Post 287 8-2. Rantoul had 10 hits in the contest while Shelby County had nine.
Shelby County was led by Hayden Cole with two singles and a double, Tyler Romack with two singles and two RBI and Christian Vonderheide with two singles.
