South Central FS claimed the championship of the Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament Wednesday evening at Community Park.
South Central FS edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead over Taylor Law Offices. Taylor tied the score in the top of the third but South Central FS came back with a five-run bottom of the frame and never looked back in the 8-4 victory.
South Central FS banged out nine hits in the contest led by Will Hoene with a two-run homer, a double and two RBI and B. Niebrugge with a single, double and an RBI. Castillo, Hammer, Blanchette and Baker had a double each. Castillo and Baker drove in two runs while Blanchette had one RBI.
Mendella led Taylor Law with a triple and two RBI. Levitt and Perry added two singles each.
In the third place contest, Dan Hecht trailed Scott Mosher Country Insurance 6-1 after three innings then had a big scoring inning in the fourth with 11 runs. Dan Hecht went on to pick up an 18-9 victory.
Dan Hecht had only five hits led by Ethan Kirby with a grand slam home run and five RBI. Kinkelaar added a single, double and three RBI while Waymoth had a double.
Scott Mosher was led by Burgess with two singles and a triple, Pontious a triple and an RBI and Matteson a single, two triples and three RBI.
