Junior Babe Ruth Tournament -- July 16

Mid-Illinois Concrete captured the championship of the Junior Babe Ruth League Tournament Wednesday evening at Paul Smith Field.

Mid-Illinois edged out to a 3-1 first inning lead over K. Wohltman Construction. Mid-Illinois then brought home four runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth for a 9-2 victory.

Colby Utz pitched a four-hitter. Matt Goedde and Alec Morrissey had a single and a double each. Morrissey drove in two runs. Chris Cole had two singles. Zac Bateman and Utz had two RBI each.

Landin Feezel had a double for K. Wohltman Construction's lone extra base hit.
