Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League -- July 15

Taylor Law Offices and South Central FS advanced to the championship game of the Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament Tuesday evening at Community Park.

South Central FS edged Scott Mosher Country Insurance 7-6. Scott Mosher took a 4-0 lead in the third inning but South Central FS came back to knot the score at 4-4 in the fourth. South Central pushed ahead 5-4 in the fifth. Scott Mosher came back to regain the lead in the bottom of the frame 6-5.

South Central rallied once again and tied the score at 6-6 in the top of the sixth. The game went into the ninth before South Central FS tallied the win.

Both teams had seven hits in the contest. South Central FS was led by Hoene with a single, double and two RBI, Walsh with a double, triple and three RBI and Braun with a triple and an RBI.

Scott Mosher was led by Stewart with a double, triple and three RBI, Runde with a single and double and Matteson with a double and two RBI.

Taylor Law Offices then edged Dan Hecht 11-10. Taylor Law held a 6-1 first inning lead. Dan Hecht came roaring back with a seven run third. Taylor Law tallied single runs in the fifth to tie the score at 8-8. Dan Hecht pushed ahead in the top of the seventh but Taylor Law rallied once again to tie the score and send the game into extra innings.

Dan Hecht went ahead 10-9 in the ninth. Taylor Law came back for the final time with two runs to win.

Levitt had a single and two doubles for the winners. Magee had two doubles and two RBI. Schnieder, Niebrugge and Mendella had two singles each. Schnieder and Niebrugge had two RBI each while Mendella contributed one RBI.

Dan Hecht was led by Rodriguez with two doubles and two RBI, Britton with a single, double and an RBI, Vonderheide with three singles and two RBI and Waymoth with two singles and two RBI.

Dan Hecht will take on Scott Mosher Country Insurance at 5:30 tonight for third place while Taylor Law squares off against South Central FS at 7:30 for the championship.
