Dan Hecht handed Tingley Insurance a 10-6 loss in Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament competition Thursday evening at Community Park.
Dan Hecht had a five-run second and never looked back despite the fact Tingley outhit the winners 11-4. Samuel Vonderheide was the hitting hero of the game with a grand slam home run in the fifth inning. He finished with four RBI. Kinkelaar added a double and drove in three runs.
Volpi had a single, two triples and two RBI for Tingley. Pemberton added a single, triple and an RBI while Massey and Christensen had a double each. Massey added an RBI.
In the second contest, Taylor Law Offices bounced Brown's Drug Store 14-2 in five innings. Taylor Law held a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the third then broke the game wide open with a seven-run inning.
Eli Levitt pitched a one-hitter. Levitt had a single and double. Perry had a single, double, triple and three RBI while Angela Mendella had a single, triple and a two-run homer. He finished with four RBI. Magee chipped in with a single, double and three RBI while Loy had a single, double and two RBI.
Ethan Ritz had the lone hit for Brown's with a single.
Tonight's games feature Scott Mosher Country Insurance against Prime Sole at 5:30 followed by South Central FS facing Russ Braunecker at 7:30. Dan Hecht will take on Taylor Law Monday at 7:30 p.m.
