ROBINSON -- Robinson Post 69 A didn't have a chance on Thursday, as American Legion Effingham Junior Post 120 won in blowout fashion, 11-3 at Robinson Park. Effingham Post 120 had a great day at the plate and an excellent performance on the mound.

It was a good day at the plate for both Junior Post 120's Eli Buhrman and Michael Woltman. Buhrman went 2-for-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning. Woltman had a great day at the plate with four hits, two RBI’s and two runs scored. In addition, Drew Gibson had three hits, James Kabbes and Caleb Martin both had two hits each. Cory Osborn had a double and three RBI’s.

Gibson kept contact to a minimum, striking out six Robinson Post 69 A batters. Gibson allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk over seven innings. He was outstanding on the hill for Effingham Post 120. Brayton Burch was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out five.

Post 120 moves its overall record to 16-10 and stands at 9-2 in the conference.
