Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League -- June 30

Tingley Insurance edged Russ Braunecker 8-7 in Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League play at Community Park Monday evening.

Tingley broke a 3-3 first inning tie with a run in the second. Braunecker moved ahead 5-4 in the top of the third but Tingley came back with two in the bottom of the frame to lead 6-5. It was back and forth as Braunecker took a 7-6 lead in the top of the fourth.

But here came Tingley with two runs in the bottom of the inning to pull out the win. Schwerdt had a double and drove in three runs for the winners while Christensen had two singles and an RBI.

Braunecker was led by Maxedon with a single, double and an RBI while Wernsing added a double and an RBI. Koester had two singles and an RBI.

Dan Hecht banged out 22 hits and scored 22 runs in trouncing Heritage Builders 22-7.

Dan Hecht had a 13-1 first inning lead. Colin Kinkelaar pitched a six-hitter. He also had three singles, a double and drove in four runs. Britton contributed a single, double, triple and three RBI. Rodriguez added two singles, a double and three RBI while Jansen had a single, two doubles and three RBI. Kirby chipped in with three singles and four RBI and Waymoth two singles, a double and three RBI.

Heil led Heritage Builders with a single, double and three RBI while Wetherell had two singles and two RBI.

In the third contest, Rotary Wheels downed Elks Club 12-6 behind a 10-hit attack.

Budde had four singles and three RBiI while Williams had a single, double and two RBI and Coleman a single, triple and three RBI for the winners.

Wines led Elks Club with three doubles and four RBI and Britten had a single and double.
