Shelby County Legion Posts 289-611-725 handed Decatur Legion Post 105 an 8-4 loss in Sunday competition.
Shelby County edged out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning. Decatur came back with a four-run top of the third to take the lead but Shelby County tied in the bottom of the frame then took a 7-4 lead in the fourth and tacked on a final run in the sixth.
Christian Vonderheide led the hitting attack for the winners with a single, double, triple and an RBI. Tyler Romack added two singles.
Vonderheide also picked up the pitching win on a six-hitter with no walks and seven strikeouts.
