Effingham Post 120 Resumes Action This Morning at Firecracker Classic

Effingham Post #120 will complete their game with Mattoon this morning at the Senior Firecracker Classic Baseball Tournament.

The game will resume at 10am. Mattoon was leading Effingham, 3-0, in the fourth when rain shut down action Friday evening.

Friday night's Teutopolis/Louisville was cancelled since Teutopolis had already reached the semi-finals. The Effingham/Mattoon game, though, could affect the semi-finals pairings. If Effingham stages a big comeback, Rantoul could reach the semi-finals rather than Mattoon.

At it is, here are the pairings for today's action:

10am--Effingham vs. Mattoon

11:30am--Danville vs. Teutopolis

2:30pm--Mattoon or Rantoul vs. Vandalia

4:30pm--Championship Game

All of today's games will be played at Grimes Field at Peterson Park in Mattoon.
