Junior Babe Ruth League -- June 19

Sehy & Jones Optometrists and Mid-Illinois Concrete were winners in Junior Babe Ruth League action Thursday evening at Paul Smith Field.

Sehy & Jones defeated K. Wohltman Construction 11-4 in the opening contest. Sehy & Jones stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead then had a nine-run second.

Brandon Puckett had a single and double for the winners. Brett Koester led K. Wohltman with a triple and three RBI.

In the second contest, Mid-Illinios Concrete was a 10-4 winner over Tri-Power Towing. Mid-Illinois held a 2-1 first inning lead then had three-run innings in the third and fourth and scored two more in the fifth.

John Higgs had the lone extra base hit for the winners with a double and two RBI. Matt Goedde had two singles.

Tri-Power Towing was led by Lane Belleville with a double, triple and an RBI.
