Schumacher Orthodontics edged out to a 1-0 lead over Rhodes Chiropractic and went on for a 6-4 win in 11-12 Year-Old League competition Wednesday at Community Park.

Schumacher had a three-run third then tacked on single runs in the fifth and sixth. Schumacher had only three hits led by Matthew Hunzinger with a double and Nate Shackleford with a double and an RBI.

Rhodes had six hits led by Brayton Poland with two singles.

In the second contest, DEKALB blanked Kingery Printing 15-0 in four innings. Carson Utz picked up the one-hit pitching win. Utz also led the team with two singles.

Logan Kersey had the lone hit for Kingery with a single.
