Junior Babe Ruth League -- June 4

Tri-Power Towing and Mid-Illinois Concrete captured victories in Junior Babe Ruth League baseball competition Wednesday at Paul Smith Field.

In the opener, Tri-Power Towing scored in every inning but one in downing Midland States Bank 12-2. Midland States two runs came in the sixth.

Lane Belleville picked up the pitching win and also aided his own cause with two doubles and three RBI. Cory Osborne added a single, double and an RBI.

In the second game, Mid-Illinois Concrete banged out 13 hits and produced seven runs to beat K. Wohltman Construction 7-2.

Chris Cole had a single and double for the winners. Colby Utz had three singles and an RBI while Brent Beals and Parker Seachrist had two singles each.

Brandon Puckett led K. Wohltman Construction with two singles.
