Prep League Results -- June 3

Effingham Asphalt leaped to a 10-3 opening inning lead and that was all it took in a 20-9 victory over Taylor Law in Babe Ruth Prep League baseball action Tuesday evening at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Asphalt tallied seven more in the second inning and had an 11-hit attack. Koester had a single, double and two RBI while Walsh had two singles, a double and two RBI and Hammer a single, double and three RBI. Brown chipped in with two singles and two RBI.

First names only were listed for Taylor Law.

In the second game, JCR Carpentry claimed a 12-7 win over Niemerg's Construction. The score was knotted at 2-2 after two innings. Niemerg's took a 4-2 lead in the top of the third but JCR came back with a six-run bottom of the frame.

Bushur had a single and hit a solo home run in the third inning. Morrisey chipped in with a double and three RBI.

Wolfe had a double and two RBI for Niemerg's.
