The Prep League season got underway Tuesday night at Evergreen Hollow Park.
NIEMERG CONSTRUCTION 13, TAYLOR LAW OFFICE 6
Niemerg scored eight runs in the first, but Taylor Law scored in the bottom of the inning and four more in the second to pull within 8-6. Niemerg bounced back with four runs in the fourth, and each team scored in the sixth inning. Dylan Guy got the win; Nick Bishop took the loss. Ben Mendella picked up a save.

At the plate for Taylor Law: Dylan Furg--single
JCR CARPENTRY 11, EFFINGHAM ASPHALT 3
JCR took an 8-0 lead with three runs in the first, a run in the second and four runs in the fourth. Effingham Asphalt scored twice in the fifth, but JCR added three runs in the sixth. Effingham Asphalt scored a run in the seventh. Bushur got the win, Koester took the loss.
