Several area teams were successful in winning a baseball or softball regional championship Saturday and one school won both.

That school is Teutopolis, no stranger to post-season success.  The Wooden Shoes posted a 9-0 victory over Marshall to win the Robinson 2A baseball regional, and won 8-2 over Marshall to win the Casey-Westfield 2A softball regional.

The baseball Shoes will next play Wednesday at 4:30pm against Trenton Wesclin in the Greenville Sectional.

The softball Shoes will next play Wednesday at 4:30pm against Breese Central in the St. Anthony Sectional.

Dieterich won the Oblong 1A baseball regional, edging Oblong 2-1.  The Movin Maroons will take on National Trail Conference foe South Central on Wednesday at 4:15pm in the Louisville Sectional.  South Central won the Altamont 1A regional, 3-1, over North Clay.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg won the Windsor 1A regional, 1-0, over Neoga in another National Trail Conference battle.  Windsor/Stew-Stras will take on Albion Edwards County Thursday at 4:15pm at the Louisville Sectional.

The St. Anthony Bulldogs saw their baseball season come to an end.  The Bulldogs lost, 3-0, to Shelbyville.
