Effingham St. Anthony High School ended its baseball contest in five innings via the 10-run rule, 12-2 over Sullivan Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs struck early, stepping out to a 5-0 first inning lead. Sullivan came back with two in the second but the Bulldogs put the contest away with a seven-run third inning.

St. Anthony had 12 hits in the contest led by Neil Williams with a single, double and an RBI, Austin Bushur with a single, triple and two RBI, Brandon Puckett with a single and double and Jacob Lorenz with two singles and two RBI.

At Effingham

At Newton

Teutopolis tallied runs from the second through the fifth innings to end the contest 13-0 over Newton in five innings Tuesday.

The Wooden Shoes had 10 hits while D. Probst pitched a one-hitter with no walks and seven strikeouts to improve his record to 5-2 on the season.

J. Kenter had two singles and three RBI while C. Will and B. Mette had a single and two RBI each.

Newton's lone hit came from J. Lidy with a single.

At Altamont

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg claimed a 4-1 victory over Altamont Tuesday. The score was knotted at 1-1 until the fifth when Windsor/Stew-Stras tallied two runs to push ahead and stay there.

The only extra base hit was a double by Devon Deremiah for Windsor/Stew-Stras. Deremiah added a single and an RBI.

Garrett Ziegler led Altamont with two singles.

At Greenup

Brownstown/St. Elmo went calling to Cumberland and picked up a 14-9 win over the Pirates.

Cumberland held a 2-1 lead after two innings but BSE came back in the top of the third with four runs. However,  the Pirates tallied four more in the bottom of the inning to lead 6-5. BSE then scored four in the fourth and four more in the seventh.

Noah Flowers picked up the pitching win in relief to improve to 2-1. BSE had 14 hits led by Jacob Behrends with two singles, a home run and five RBI, Flowers with three singles and three RBI, Levi Maxey with a single, double and two RBI and Dalton Parks with two singles and two RBI. BSE improved to 12-7.

Cumberland was led by Blayke Cutts with two singles, Seth Clark, Holden Elwood and Hunter Light with a double each.

At Greenup

Dieterich tallied early but couldn't come back and Casey-Westfield took a 5-2 victory. The Movin' Maroons scored single runs in the first and second to lead 2-0 until the fifth. Casey-Westfield scored a run in the fifth then scored four more in the seventh to pull out the win.

Dieterich outhit the Warriors by one as A. Bohnhoff had two singles and C. Campton had two singles. The Maroons drop to 2-10 on the season.
