Effingham blanked Casey-Westfield 10-0 in freshman/sophomore baseball competition Wednesday.
The Hearts improve to 5-6 on the season. Ryan Barnes picked up the pitching win.
Hitting for the Hearts were Reed Shafer, single, 1 RBI; Brent Beals, single, 1 RBI; Lane Koenig, 2 singles, triple, 3 RBI; Caleb Mocha, single, 2 RBI; Ryan Barnes, 2 singles, 1 RBI and Blake White, 1 RBI.
