South Central Downs Odin, B/SE Falls To Vandalia

KINMUNDY -- South Central ended the game in the fifth inning, downing Odin 11-1 in high school baseball competition Monday.
The Cougars took a 3-1 first inning lead then went on to end the game via the 10-run rule. Gavin Ratermann pitched the four-hitter with no walks and six strikeouts.
Ross had a single and three RBI for the winners. Powless, Smith and Wilkins had a hit apiece and an RBI each.

Vandalia picked up an 8-6 victory over Brownstown/St. Elmo Monday.
The Vandals had 10 hits in the game while B/SE committed four errors. Smith drove in two runs with a single while Beck had three singles and three RBI and Stewart a single and an RBI for the winners.
Brownstown/St. Elmo was led by Hall with two RBI and Maxey with two RBI.
