T-town Drops Doubleheader, Windsor/Stew-Stras Wins Big

Teutopolis High School played host to St. Joseph-Ogden in baseball competition and fell in a doubleheader Saturday.
In the opener, T-town tallied only one run while St. Joseph-Ogden had two for a 2-1 victory. Louis Niemerg took the loss to drop to 2-1. Probst had a single, home run and one RBI for the Shoes' only hits. Hart picked up the win allowing one walk and striking out 13.
In the second contest, St. Joseph-Ogden was a 2-1 winner once again. This time St. Joe had seven hits in the game while Berry pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts.
T-town's hits came from Probst with a single and double and Kenter with a single and an RBI.
"It was a tough day at the plate for us," said Coach Justin Fleener. "We struck out 21 times today. Credit that to St. Joe's pitching. They have very quality pitching.
T-town (8-2) is back in action today, weather permitting, at Effingham at 4 p.m. St. Joseph-Ogden improves to 8-0.

Windsor-Stewardson/Strasburg trounced Martinsville 20-0 in five innings via the 10-run rule Saturday.
Windsor/Stew-Stras held a 4-0 lead after three innings then had a nine-run fifth and a six-run sixth.
Alex Allen, Brandon Helmuth and Bryse Bugger had a double each while Helmuth added an RBI.
