Rangers Beat Cubs

(Surprise, AZ) -- Mike Olt was 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI, but the Cubs still lost to the Rangers, 7-6, in 10 innings of Cactus League action last night. Jason Hammel allowed four runs on five hits in seven innings of work. Chicago faces the Rockies tonight.

A's Rock White Sox

(Glendale, AZ) -- The A's put together a nine-run first inning to pummel the White Sox, 16-6, Tuesday in Cactus League action. Jose Quitana failed to get an out in the opening inning and was charged with all nine runs on seven hits and two walks. Jordan Danks hit two homers in the loss. Chicago plays the Angels this afternoon.

Cardinals Take On Twins Today

(Jupiter, FL) -- The Cardinals resume Grapefruit League play today after a day off Monday. The Redbirds take on the Minnesota Twins at Roger Dean Stadium at 12:05 p. m. Right-hander Carlos Martinez is slated to start for St. Louis.  He is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in three starts spanning 10 innings.
