Adolph A. Zerrusen, 79, of Teutopolis, Illinois passed away at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Barnes Jewish  Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 5 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery with military rites.Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 4 at the church with a 7 p.m. parish prayer service. Memorials may be made to Teutopolis American Legion Post 924, the Cross Foundation or to the donor's choice. Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Adolph was born September 27, 1934 in Effingham County, the son of Ferd and Mary (Pruemer) Zerrusen. He married Mary L. Kingery on June 15, 1957 and she preceded him in death in 2008. Adolph served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former accountant at Moore Business Forms, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874, former Board of Directors for Home Farmers Mutual and a member of Teutopolis American Legion Post #924.

Adolph is survived by two sons, Kevin (wife Janet) of McLean, VA and Kenneth of Akron, OH; four daughters, Kim (husband Tim) Mach of Dayton, OH, Kristi Becker of St. Louis, MO, Karleen (husband Paul) Turner of Scottsdale, AZ and Karmen (husband Steve) Little of Noblesville, IN and 15 grandchildren.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; sisters, Dorothy Brummer and Anna Marie Niemerg and grandchild, Jordan.
