Gregory Duane Webb age 62, of Newton passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
Per Greg’s request, cremation rites will be accorded. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Greg was born on July 5, 1962, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Nola Ann Closson (Webb) Emmons. On August 13, 1994, Greg married Tammy Sue Maxwell. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2023. Greg was a welder at Roadmaster in Olney, Illinois. In his free time, Greg loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting mushrooms. He loved his family and his faithful dog, Abby.
Greg will be loved and remembered by his children, Maranda Womack of Effingham, Justin Webb, wife Jessica of Jewett, Jason Souden of Newton, Brad Webb, wife Rachel of Martinsville, Michael Webb, wife Missy of Toledo, Justin Souden, wife Jolynn of Olney, Cody Webb, wife Amanda of Edgewood, Harley Webb and Marisa Gordon of Sullivan; 19 grandchildren, Justin Souden, Jr., Josephine Souden, Stormie Webb, Meadow Webb, Willow Webb, Maddox Webb, Harrison Webb, Emerie Webb, Hunter Webb, Clayton Webb, Nathaniel Webb, Alexis Webb, Nataleigh Webb, Tripp Webb, Chloe Webb, Briar Webb, Dylan Webb, Trinity Womack and Mattea Womack; brother, Jerry Curry of Indianapolis, IN and step-father Lee Emmons of Mt. Vernon, IL.
His mother Nola Ann Emmons and wife Tammy Sue Webb preceded him in death.
