Nancy was born on November 2, 1947, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Byron F. and Betty J. (Moore) Weiffenbach. She married Kenny Palm on March 31, 1990 and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2003. For Nancy, family came first and time together was cherished. Nancy worked at Kohl’s for many years, retiring from the Effingham Kohl’s in Human Resources. She was true to her word and was always early to wherever she needed to be. Nancy liked to stay busy, and her work was never done. She took pride in having a clean home. To many, she was the best cook and baker around. She was known especially for her pies, chocolate chip cookies, and cakes. Nancy made cakes for every occasion, even teaching a cake decorating class for Kaskaskia College. She also had a talent for making porcelain dolls and the clothing to outfit them. Over the years, Nancy had won awards and held classes teaching others her skill in doll making. Her family also benefited from her seamstress skills as she had made many outfits throughout the years.

Nancy is survived by her children, Laura (Tim) Cutright of Effingham, Kenneth Lynn Miller of Montrose, Logan (Jill) Miller of Homer, IL, and Phillip (Missy) Miller of Fayette County; grandchildren, Nathan (Lindsey) Roley, Brad (Michelle) Roley, Brooke Ixtepan, Nicole (Nick) Fizer, Skyler Roley, Haley Miller, Riley Miller, Raegan Miller, and Byron (Sadie) Miller; 7 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Elaine Higgs, Barbara Weiffenbach, Judy Weiffenbach, and Becky Burrus; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Susie Bowlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenny Palm; great-granddaughter, Aria; brother, Clifford Weiffenbach; and sister, Shirley Weiffenbach.
