Carl was born on Monday, June 24, 1940 in Christopher, IL to Carl W. and Helen (Seabolt) Biggs. He married Karen Shelton on July 25, 1959. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and of the American Legion in Edwardsville. Carl was a retired supervisor from Owens Brockway, Vandalia. He never met a stranger and was a funny guy and ‘prop comic’. You never knew what he was going to say, or if he might be wearing Billy Bob teeth or a fake nail through his finger. He loved animals, and most recent pets, cat Oreo, and dachshund Rose. He was, at different stages of life- an avid quail hunter, distance runner, Vietnam War historian, music enthusiast, and was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed visiting family in Alabama and then going to Panama City Beach, Florida each summer. After moving to Kimberling City, MO, he enjoyed boating on Table Rock Lake, attending shows in Branson, and working at Silver Dollar City. He provided above and beyond for his family and to anyone who made his life easier, he showed his appreciation generously.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Timothy (Beth) Biggs, Ballwin, MO; daughters, Teresa (Patrick) Martin, Edwardsville and Tracy Biggs, St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Jack W. (Susan) Biggs, Brownstown; 5 grandchildren, Kiley (Ryan) Rawson, Nathan (Lisa) Bergbower, Shelton (Shelby) Biggs, Jon (Todd Blaylock) Kidd and Jay (Kirk Vino) Kidd; and 7 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Luke, Jagger, Maddux, Noxx, Levi and Violet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Fulk.
