Sherri was born March 21, 1961 in Beardstown, the daughter of Ronald Jones and Beverly Jones Perry. She was the most selfless, loving, and kind mother, grandmother, wife, teacher, sister, daughter and friend. Everyone that knew her, loved her.
She had impeccable style; from her hair and make up to her outfit and shoes. You could always count on her to be the best dressed and life of any party. Sherri was a phenomenal cook, baker, and crafter. She always went above and beyond for events and family gatherings; making sure everyone had plenty of food on their plates. She loved to travel and being in nature was her second home. She would spend her summers traveling from place to place. She didn’t ever slow down; always on the go making a lifetime of memories along the way.
However, her greatest love was her family. She was a very proud “Gigi” and loved her grandchildren fiercely. She had a way to make each person feel special and somehow knew exactly how to make that happen. She loved them “to the moon and back”. Fly high to the mountain tops and take in all the sights until we meet again.
Sherri is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael Hults of Effingham; children, Michelle (Patrick) Tallman of Chatham, Jason Hults of Houston, TX, Jordan (Ashley) Hults of Collinsville, and Jamie (Matt) Hults of Carlyle; grandchildren, Isaiah, Paige, Collin, Cole, Cash, June, Josie, and Elijah; mother, Beverly Perry of Lakewood, CO; father, Ronald (Debbie) Jones of Virginia; brother, Kevin (Alisa) Jones of Beardstown; sister, Ronda Phillips of Boulder, CO; along with all of her “babies” she has taught throughout the years.
