Cassie Worman, a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, passed away February 8, 2025, in Dieterich, Illinois, United States. She was 74 years old.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bishop Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday in the parish center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to HSHS St. Anthony Hospice Care, Sacred Heart School, or St. Isadore Church. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Cassie was born on July 23, 1950, to Robert and Letha (Wharton) Brewer. She married the love of her life, Richard Worman, in 1982, and they welcomed their daughter, Nicole (Worman) Bishop, into the world. Nicole and her husband, Kent Bishop, gave Cassie the joy of being a grandmother to Kade. Cassie attended Effingham High School and graduated in 1969. She enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her friends and family. On February 8, 2025, Cassie lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be forever cherished by those who knew her.

She is survived by husband, Richard J. Worman, daughter, Nicole Bishop (Kent), grandson Kade Bishop, sisters Karen Having and Kristy (John) Benline. In-laws Loretta Worman, Barbara Smith, Mary Behl, Kay Worman, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents Robert and Letha (Wharton) Brewer, Aloysius, and Edna (Nosbisch) Worman; brothers-in-law, Terry Having, Leonard Worman, Adolph Worman, Dick Behl, and Niece Bobbi Worman.
