Ray Zimmer (75) of rural Vandalia

Ray Zimmer, 75 of Mulberry Grove, died at 11:22 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 in rural Vandalia.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Pinhook Cemetery, rural Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Bond County Meals on Wheels. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ray was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1949 in Vandalia to Harold and Reibert (Kirkman) Zimmer. He was retired from IMCO and Brockway, Vandalia after 33 years of service.
He is survived by his brother, Ronald (Glenda) Zimmer, Brownstown and nephew, Tony (fiancé Deena) Burden, Vandalia, as well as his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joy Burden; nephew, Jody Burden; and companion, Pat Banks.
