Patsy Elaine Blickem Aderman (90) of Stewardson

Patsy Elaine Blickem Aderman, known affectionately as Elaine to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, in Neoga, Illinois.
Born on September 4, 1934, in Sullivan, Illinois, she was the daughter of Earl and Hazel (Bathe) Bell. Elaine's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to education and service. Despite the challenges that came her way, she earned her GED, followed by an associate and bachelor’s degree in human services. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for a career dedicated to helping others. Elaine's professional life was diverse, with roles at Motorola, as a waitress and cashier at 76, and ultimately, as the Executive Director of Effingham Victims Awareness Services (EVAS). In this capacity, she became a beacon of hope for many, advocating tirelessly for victims' rights and well-being. Her passion for service extended to her involvement with the American Red Cross, where she continued to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Elaine's personal life was as rich and fulfilling as her professional endeavors. She was a proud and active resident of Stewardson for many years. Known for her outgoing nature, Elaine's presence was a source of joy and laughter at any gathering. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and she nurtured relationships with the same care and dedication that she applied to every aspect of her life. Family was the cornerstone of Elaine's world.
She is survived by her children, Beth (Michael) Will-Coe, Kathy Pieper, and David Falk; her loving grandchildren, Nicholas Will, Justin (Jocelynne) Will, Michael (Bridget) Will, Travis (Jennifer) Pieper, Tasha Pieper, Mark Falk, Stoney (Ashley) Falk, and John Falk and her great-grandchildren, Arya, Piper, Emma, Brenton, Brodi, Brooklyn, Caibrie, Calix, Creeden, Cyrus, Evan, Rue, Tatum, and Kali.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Bell, her daughter Pam Falk, and her granddaughter Taryn Pieper.
A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson. Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of remembrance from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following the service, loved ones are encouraged to join together for a meal and fellowship at the Stewardson Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 206 W. Main St., Stewardson. Memorials may be given in Elaine’s honor to the American Red Cross and mailed to 302 W. Main St., Shelbyville, IL 62565. Brummerstedt Funeral Home is honored to assist the family during this time.
