David R. Cripps 55 of Forsyth GA, formerly of Effingham and Salem, IL, passed away December 9, 2024, at home with family by his side.

Memorial Services will be held at Anchor Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA Saturday December 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM and at Southside Baptist Church in Effingham, IL on Friday December 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour before service and private burial at Alma Cemetery in Alma, IL.

Dave was born September 14, 1969 the son of Cecil J. and Loreighn (Middleton) Cripps. Dave was a graduate of Kinmundy-Alma High School. He joined Vicki Koester in marriage on August 13, 2001. Dave was a long time Home Delivery driver for Fed Ex Ground in Effingham before obtaining his CDL. He then transferred to Fed Ex Freight and most recently worked for Penske Logistics. Dave had a love for music, hockey and memes. He influenced his stepchildren with his taste in music, his favorite hockey team the St. Louis Blues was displayed on many hats, jerseys and tshirts. Dave was a fun loving, caring good hearted family man that made friends wherever he went.

Dave is survived by his wife Vicki Cripps of Forsyth GA, stepchildren Joe Randolph of Effingham, Christina (Stephen) Crank of Forsyth GA and grandchildren Cameron, Logan and Mason Crank. Sisters Wanda Cripps, Linda (Larry) Wodtka, brother Jimmie (Sheilah) Cripps, sister Barbara (Lynn) Henderson, brother Russell (Kathy) Cripps and sister Vicki (Gary) Nix. Stepbrothers Tommy (Robin) Goff and Danny (Pam) Goff and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents Cecil J. Cripps and Loreighn Goff, maternal grandparents Eugene and Edith Middleton, paternal grandparents Jacob and Hannah Cripps, sister Joanne Slater, brother Alan Cripps, niece Tracy Slater and stepbrother Teddy Goff.
