Pamela Padget (63) of Herrin

Pamela Padget 63, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away at 7:30 AM Wednesday November 6, 2024 in the Willow Breeze Hospice House of Mattoon, Illinois.

She was born June 20, 1961 in Hammond, Indiana the daughter of Jerry and Wilma (Johnston) Lawrence. Pamela married Ned Padget April 21, 2001 in Neoga, Illinois, Ned passed away November 15, 2016. Mrs. Padget retired from Blue Cross & Blue Shield as a Unit Manager in Marion, Illinois after 27 years in May of 2013, then she and her husband loved traveling around the United States in their RV. She loved watching the deer from her RV in Herrin, Illinois.

Pamela is survived by her brother, Joe Lawrence and his wife Patty of Decatur, Michigan; sister, Bonnie Lawrence of Neoga, Illinois; nephews, Ethan Lawrence and Alex Merritt both of Michigan; nieces, Amber Katkar, Bailey Latulippe and Cheyana Talmage all of Michigan; one stepson; two sisters in law and one brother in law.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ned Padget; sister, Tina Merritt.

As per Pamela’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and there are no public services scheduled at this time. An Inurnment will be in the Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Society.

The Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements.
