Edwina M. Tish (63) of St. Elmo

Edwina M. Tish, 63, of St. Elmo, died at 6:14 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at New Horizons Church, St. Elmo with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to E.A.R.S. or New Horizons Church. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Edwina Marie Tish was born on Saturday, June 17, 1961 in Chicago to Carl Sr. and Marietta (Cooley) Bartels. She married Danny R. Tish on August 2, 1980. She was retired from home health care and was a member of New Horizons Church.

In addition to her husband of over 44 years, Danny Tish, St. Elmo, she is survived by; her sons, Larry (Krysta) Tish, Effingham and Dustin (fiancé Kimberly Logsdon), Vandalia; daughter, Heather (Tom) Newburn, Portsmouth, VA; brother, Tim (Samantha) Bartels, Decatur; sisters, Christine Stucke, Lockport, IL and Mary Ann (Jerry) Chrisman, Mounds, IL; grandchildren, Kaden Tish, Jaxson Tish, Sabine Newburn, Henry Newburn and Torin Tish; and one great-granddaughter, Reina (born on November 3, 2024)

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Bartels, Jr. and Eugene Bartels; and sister, Clarice Bartels.
