Truman Leroy "Lee" Coleman (79) of Effingham, formerly of Newton

Truman Leroy “Lee” Coleman, age 79, of Effingham, Illinois, and formerly of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 1:27 AM – Saturday, October 26, 2024, at HSHS Saint Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Truman Leroy “Lee” was born on April 17, 1945, in Glover, Missouri, the son of William Leonard and Lydia Beatrice (England) Coleman. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was inducted on October 28, 1965, and was honorable discharge on July 31, 1967. Lee was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed hunting and tinkering.

Lee is survived by: Sons – Justin (wife Kasey) Coleman of Effingham, Illinois; Rodney Ochs of Newton, Illinois; and Richard Coleman of Wheeler, IllinoisGrandchildren – Mya Coleman and Masey Miffin Brother – Lindell (Deana) Coleman of Watson, Illinois Sister – Karen Joy Coleman of Mahomet, Illinois.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ivan Coleman.
