Marcia K. Krile (71) of Strasburg

Marcia K Krile, 71, of Strasburg, IL, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL, with Rev. Kene Whybrew officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Strasburg Lions Club, Village of Strasburg for the Park Project, or to the family in care of Bruce Krile.

Marcia was born on December 23, 1952, the daughter of Frederick K and Elsie “May” (Hubbartt) Miller. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1971 and then attended Lake Land College in Mattoon in the Dental Assistant Program. Marcia began working as a secretary for Illinois Senators. She later worked for Cass’s Custard and the Timbers Restaurant both in Strasburg and CITGO in Stewardson, IL. Marcia served on the Strasburg Village Board of Trustees and was a former chairperson for Strasburg’s American Heart Association Bike-a-thon. Marcia was baptized and confirmed at the First Christian Church in Shelbyville, where she married Bruce L. Krile on October 2, 1981. Marcia and Bruce made their home in Strasburg, IL, and were members of Grace Lutheran Church. Marcia loved decorating for Christmas, her favorite time of the year!

Marcia is survived by her husband, Bruce; son, Justin Krile (Trisha Keith) of Strasburg, IL; Trisha’s son, Pierce Boyer; brother, John Miller (Sara) of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Mary Ellen Martin (Michael) of Mattoon, IL; nephew, Mikey Martin; niece, Megan Martin; and Megan’s children, Ethan and Stella.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
