Cloyce Rife 85 yrs old of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly from Dieterich, Illinois went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday October 7, 2024 at 2:10pm at VITAS Healthcare in Rockledge, Florida.

Cloyce moved to Florida in 2015. Before moving he belonged to the Dieterich Christian Church where he served in many positions over the years. Cloyce also served on the Dieterich School Board and was a Volunteer Fireman in Dieterich, IL..

Cloyce graduated from Newton High School and later served in the United States Army from 1961-1963, and was then in the Reserves for 6 years. He took his Basic Training in Fort Leonard , MO and Advanced Training in Fort Sill, OK where he stayed on as an Instructor. He trained the Troops on the Redstone Missile. He belonged to the American Legion in Dieterich, IL and later in Palm Bay, FL. Cloyce retired from Crossroads Press after 30 years. Cloyce loved to play Pitch,(if there was a Pitch Game he would find it), throw Horseshoes and betting on the horses and loved playing games. He was a die hard Chicago Cub fan. Cloyce also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandsons and great grandkids.

Cloyce was born November 14, 1938 in Jasper County to Earl David and Nora Rife. On July 19, 1960 he married the former Norma Robards.

Cloyce leaves behind his wife Norma of 64 years of Palm Bay, FL, Daughter Misty (Dennis) Straub and a son Travis Rife both of Palm Bay, FL Brothers: Bill (Norma) Rife of Mesquite, NV and John Rife of Desert Hot Springs, CA Sisters: Karen Speckman of Celina, OH and Patty (David) Webster of Newton, IL; Sister In Law: Marilyn Robards of Dieterich, IL; Grandsons: Tanner (Coral) Thoele of Watson, IL and Trey (Alishia) Thoele of Greenup, IL; Great Grandchildren: Tryson and Tripp Thoele Piper and Arya (AJ) Ring. He also leaves many Nieces and Nephews.
