Becky Sue Baker Lesemann (66) of Beecher City

Becky Sue Baker Lesemann, 66, of Beecher City, IL passed away at 11:11 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Effingham, IL.

According to Becky’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. The family will host a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Beecher City Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham assisted the family.

Becky was born on September 11, 1958, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Otis and Mildred Cutler Baker, the youngest in a family of eight children.  She is survived by her brother George (Sandy) Baker of Decatur, IL; sisters Judith (Sherrill) Burgess, and Sandra Beals both of Decatur, IL, and Violet (Chad) Cooley of Beecher City, IL; and her beloved kitty, Millie.

She spent many years working in the hospitality field. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, MS and was happiest listening to her favorite Country singer, George Strait. Becky loved watching NASCAR, and her favorite drivers were Kyle Larson, the Earnhardts, and Kyle Busch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale Lesemann; infant daughter Kimberly Ann Hayes; sisters Betty Baker Stout and Beverly Baker Tague; and brother Dale Baker.

She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her brother, sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
